Jeffrey Dean Morgan is now the most evil villain of The Walking Dead – Negan – but many years before, he played yet another impactful character that is still remembered (and missed) by fellow fans of The CW’s Supernatural: John Winchester. John was the father of Sam and Dean, two brothers who ultimately followed in his footsteps and became “hunters”, fighting supernatural beings that roam the earth. Although the series is currently in its 12th season, Morgan was killed off way back in the season 2 premiere, however, he still remains close with the actors who portrayed his on-screen sons, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
Yesterday, Jensen decided to have some fun with Jeffrey, tweeting: “Hey @JDMorgan I found this in the trunk… can I try it out?. Don’t miss tonight’s episode. It’s a knockout! #Supernatural #walkingdead” – along with a picture of him holding a replica Lucille:
Within minutes, Jeffrey responded: “J. You weren’t supposed to find that. Gonna need her back son. I mean… I already gave you my car. And? I don’t know? Sorta, died for you.”
Half an hour later, Jensen tweeted: “Yep, ur right. Copy that. I’ll wrap it in this red scarf I found and overnight it to you,” along with the the thumbs up emoji.
Which prompted Jeffrey to get it one last quip: “Cool. Um… underneath the spare… I may of stashed a leather jacket? Can you send that as well? Need by Sunday.”
After last week’s premiere, can you hold off on sending that for a while, Jensen?
